The French Open is known for many things; Clay courts, Grand Slam, Rafael Nadal. But who are we to forget the pièce de résistance of Roland Garros? The beautiful women at the 2012 French Open.
It's still early days at the 2012 French Open; The competition is heating up and taking shape rather nicely for a grand second week of thrilling clay court action.
It's unusual that the first week of play at Roland Garros amounts to too much surprise, but as the game goes, we've already seen former winner Serena Williams knocked out in the first round Virginie Razzano, a home hopeful ranked at 111th in the WTA to Serena's 5th.
And that's the beauty of the game, isn't it? That an almost invisible player on the WTA circuit can come up and put to shame one of the game's fiercest competitors has got to be one of the more attractive aspects of the game.
Speaking of which, Roland Garros is also particularly famous for the beautiful women who come out in full force not only to contest the WTA championship, but also to bask under rays of sunny France and take in some of the most spectacular tennis ever played around the world.
So in light of all the hot happenings from the 2012 French Open this week, here's our tribute to the beauty of Roland Garros. Do enjoy.
