Make your dog run WITH you on a leash

Most dog owners make the mistake of having their leashed dogs pull them around on their walks. This is no way to instil discipline in a dog, or to properly maximise your run. Your dog should always be at your side, not in front of you as you run. This is basic dog walking 101. The exercise should be enjoyed together, with your pet accompanying you as its master and not spent with you chasing it around and shouting out its name in anger constantly like a mental.

Also, unless you've found a dog-friendly park that's actually dog-friendly by law and not by your feelings that day, keep your pet on a leash.
