Mario Balotelli was recently dropped from the Italy squad for breaking gaffer Cesare Prandelli's code of ethics.

It shoudn't really be surprising, since he was recently suspended for four matches after his stamp on Tottenham's Scott Parker.

Funnily enough, that wasn't the first (or last) indiscretion Super Mario will commit in his career. Though still only 21, he's already gotten into more trouble than some footballers have in their entire careers.

Let it be said, however, that most of these acts of misconduct seem to stem from an eccentric personality. For the most part, it doesn't seem that Balotelli is truly malicious, which is probably why Roberto Mancini keeps tolerating his madness.

Here are some of the most famous cases of the Italian's strange behavior.

His form is great but, has he got the strength to overcome a dip in his performance in the future.
It is without doubt that his for will fade from time to time.
Time will tell if he is truly a great player.
