Schools across 14 states join forces for 100PLUS Road To London Campaign.
Since 1 April this year, Malaysians nationwide have seen the 'United for Success' or 'Sejiwa Kecapi Kejayaan' mantra repeatedly on billboards, news prints, television commercials and more. Rooted in passion and spurred on by the need to unite, United for Success is part of the Road to London campaign by 100PLUS and the National Sports Council to excite and rally Malaysians to come together to support our athletes for the most prestigious international sporting event coming up this month.
From families, teenagers and school students, the spirit of Malaysia Boleh! was evident with the strong support received throughout the campaign via turnouts at road shows, Online participation via Facebook (www.facebook.com/my100plus) and especially student signature rallies from the main 15 National Sports Schools.
To date, the campaign has gathered a total of 150,000 cheer messages, signatures and videos.
Schools that were involved in the campaign included National Sports Schools, SMK Bukit Nenas (Terengganu), SMK Gunung Rapat (Perak), SMK Mutiara Impian Penang (Penang), SMK Putera (Kelantan), SMK Seberang Temerloh (Pahang), SMK Seksyen 11 (Selangor), SMK Seri Kota (Melaka), SMK Seri Titiwangsa (KL), SMK Syed Hassan (Perlis), SMK Tabuan Jaya (Sarawak), SMK Tun Hussein Onn (Johor), SMK Tunku Anum (Kedah), SMK Za'ba (Negeri Sembilan), SSM Tengku Mahkota Ismail (Johor) and SSM Bukit Jalil (Selangor).
"I really admire the athletes who will be representing our country. They are all heroes and they will always have our support!" said 14-year old Mohd Alfeeq Zharieq bin Jasmi, from SMK Putera, Kota Bharu whilst his friend Afiq bin Saludin, 14, pitched in, "I am working very hard at my studies and sports and I aspire to be like Datuk Lee Chong Wei one day! We know the training the athletes have to go through now is really strenuous and we believe they can really bring back our first gold medal!"
One of the initiatives under United for Success specially created for consumers was the limited edition 100PLUS packs featuring the faces of the country's top athletes Datuk Lee Chong Wei, Azizulhasni Awang, Pandalela Rinong and Khairul Che Fahmi.
In conjunction with the initiative, consumers had the opportunity to have their pictures taken for their very own Customised Road to London Limited Edition 100PLUS can.
