Ancient Olympics were the first kind of Olympics known to men. Legend has it that the games began in 776 B.C. in Olympia, Greece, and went on strong until about 393 A.D. It was a time when a truce was needed between nations so that travelling competitors could cross countries without being stabbed for trespassing.

A lot of things that really isn't any fun mentioning happened between then and 1894, when the first International Olympic Charter was formed upon man's civilization. The games have evolved much since then along with all the political, economic and cultural changes to become the Olympics we know today.

Anyhow, here's where we acknowledge some of the sports that didn't quite make it through the evolution period for reasons of safety and what not. Hope you enjoy!
