Runners put the Nike LunarGlide+ to the test.

Nike announced the launch of their LunarGlide+ running shoes at The Curve, Mutiara Damansara.

During the launch itself, Nike Malaysia organized a trial run for the gathered media and runners which include familiar faces like Joyce Wong, Azura Zainal, national athlete Yuan Yu Fang and ex-national Tri-athlete Kimberly Yap. The whole party was seen running for two kilometres around The Curve, testing the shoes to the max.

Speaking to the media, Nike’s Marketing Manager, Menaha Nadaraja stated “Runners traditionally had to choose between stability and cushioning shoes based on their style and varying foot strikes”. She added further, “Now, consumers can choose a single running show that addresses specific needs and even adjusting itself on the fly during a run.”

With the tagline “Actually, it is rocket science”, Nike was clearly confident that the amount of research and development poured into the shoes would definitely make the LunarGlide+ the best running shoes available to the public. The shoes are so full of hi-tech features such as the Dynamic Fit Technology, LunarLite foam and Flywire technology that consumers can be forgiven if they find themselves lost in all the jargons and tech talk.

Until they try on the shoes, that is.

Nike’s LunarGlide+ running shoes are not just shoes, they can also accommodate different types of feet and it’s specially catered designs based on gender certainly makes the LunarGlide+ one of the most technology advanced running shoes yet. It’s amazingly lightweight, weighing in at 10.6oz or the men, and 8.6oz for the women.

Here we take a look at some of the technology behind the Nike LunarGlide+ running shoes. The LunarGlide+ are now available at retail outlets throughout Malaysia with a retail price of RM399.
