The Water Polo Arena is situated next to the Aquatics Centre and close to the Olympic Stadium in a compact area of the Olympic Park. The arena contains two pools - one for competition and one for warm-up - and is the venue for both the men's and women's water polo competitions. The 5,000-capacity arena is only a temporary facility and was purpose-built for the Games. After the Olympics, it will be taken down and parts of it will be reused or relocated around the UK. The venue was designed with a distinctive rippling roof, which is made of recycled PVC cushions.
