The newly-constructed BMX Track has been built with both the Olympics and the local community in mind. Located in the north of the Olympic Park, the venue hosts the top male and female BMX riders from across the world during London 2012 - with the challenging 400-metre long course designed to test riders with its many turns and bumps. The course is lined with 6,000 temporary seats, which will all be taken down after the Games as the facility is transformed into a new VeloPark for use by the community. When that happens, as well as the track being adapted to suit all abilities, a new mountain bike track and road-cycle circuit will also be built.
