Datuk Lee Chong Wei takes another step closer to possible Olympic badminton gold after easily brushing aside Indonesian opponent Simon Santoso in the Round of 16.

With Santoso looking a much sharper opponent that the Finnish Lang, there were worries about Chong Wei's form going into his match with the Indonesian, but all doubts were cast aside as Chong Wei won the match 21-12, 21-8 - in just 36 minutes.
En route to the finals, Chong Wei now faces Indian shuttler Parupalli Kashyap, who earlier won his match against Sri Lanka's Niluka Karunaratne, 14-21, 21-15, 9-21.
*Chong Wei's match against Parupalli Kashyap happens on the 3rd of August at 0:00 hours (12am - Tonight!).
Also in one of the earlier matches of the tournament, Taufik Hidayat played his old rival Lin Dan, with Hidayat failing to restrain the Chinese World No.1, losing the match 9-21, 12-21.
Should all go as planned, Malaysian hero Datuk Lee Chong Wei could end up facing his arch nemesis Lin Dan in the finals of the London 2012 Olympics.
