Malaysia's flag bearer at Athens 2004 at the age of just 14, Lomas is now one of the more experienced campaigners on the Olympic stage.
Having had a taste of the Games action in both Greece and then in Beijing four years ago, the young diver is this time competing in more than one event.
Lomas gained further international recognition when he won bronze medals in the men's 10 metre platform and the 3m synchronised springboard with Yeoh Ken Nee at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi in 2010, before going on to collect two silvers and a bronze at the Asian Games last year.
He has represented Malaysia in multiple FINA World Aquatics Championships and bounced back from the disappointment of failing to reach the final of the 10m platform for the first time in Shanghai last year by sealing Olympic qualification in the same event two months later at the FINA Diving Asian Cup.
