After five years in professional golf, South Korea's Suh Bo-mi ended her title drought by winning the 300,000 dollar Suzhou-Taihu Ladies Open here Sunday.
Her winning result was only confirmed at the 18th green where she needed a birdie to win outright. A par would have meant that she would have to play off with Gwladys Nocera as both players would have finished the 54-hole championship with a 5-under total.
Suh, who eagled the par-5, 18th in her second round Saturday, positioned herself for another eagle putt when she hit her second shot to about 20 feet north of the pin.
However, it was in a difficult position as she had a downhill putt which she nervously tapped and saw the ball roll past the cup to about six feet away.
She holed the birdie putt to win her maiden title.
Suh said she did not realise she had won the title.
"I only knew it when the others ran up to me to congratulate me. Then I got goose pimples. That's why I did not even punch the air or ran up to my dad to celebrate," she said.
